Searcher v3.0 Registration Form

Searcher, version 3.0, is a DOS and ZIP file and text searching utility 
for MS Windows, version 3.x. It searches all of the selected disks in 
your system for files you specify. Search parameters may be specified 
with multiple specifications for: disk (or disks), path (including 
all sub-directories), text contents, DOS file attributes (Normal, Archive, 
Read Only, System & Hidden), file size, and/or file creation date. True 
wildcards for the file names are supported so that "*pro.*xe" finds only 
those files which contain "pro" in the name and "xe" in the extension.

Multiple path specs may be selected from the drop down directory tree.
Boolean proximity searches are supported so that text found is filtered
by its proximity to other strings.

Files which match your specified search criteria are displayed in 
scrollable list boxes, which include the file's name, path, size, date, 
file attributes, and the location of the text string in the file. For text 
searches, the text string and surrounding characters are displayed, 
while for "file only" searches, the first line of the file is displayed. 
 
Additional features of Searcher include the ability to launch any 
application, or unZIP any file, by double clicking on the executable 
or data file name, in the list of files found, or selecting a file 
and pressing Enter, just as though the file was displayed in "File 
Manager"--perfect for further examination of your application data 
files. Searcher also features context sensitive pop-up "Auto Help": 
clicking the right mouse button on any control creates a pop-up window 
with help text for that control.  
 
All program settings including file specifications, path specifications 
and text strings from previously saved sessions are automatically 
recalled at startup. The File Spec, Path Spec and Search Text entries, may be 
initialized by the command line, so that you can create icons, and macros, 
like the one that is included for Word for Windows, that automatically load 
a File Spec, Path Spec and selected text into the appropriate boxes at start up. 
 
Also included with Searcher is the Searcher Install Utility which 
installs multiple Searcher icons, at your option, configuring each to 
search for a different default file, directory, and text string. Searcher 
retails for $29.95 plus $2.00 shipping and handling.
